Rawalpindi: The Overseas Pakistani Task Force (OPTF) has instructed the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) to shut down unregistered housing societies, according to a news source.
OPTF Chairman Iftikhar Ahmad Warsi issued these orders after he heard the complaints of overseas Pakistanis. Many of the complaints were about land grabbing.
According to Warsi, a total of 43 properties belonging to overseas Pakistanis have been subjected to illegal grabbing of land, which has become one of the biggest issues they face. In order to curb this practice, OPTF chairman demanded that the RDA shut down all societies that are not registered with the authority.
