Rawalpindi: The Excise & Taxation department plans on launching an operation in Rawalpindi and the rest of Punjab from October 1 for the recovery of Luxury Tax – a news source reported.
The Director General (DG) asked for the recovery details under the targets set for this fiscal year, and has directed the regional directors to submit relevant pro formas for the purpose.
The new DG wrote to all the regional directors. The local taxation officials have begun preparing the pro formas that contain the details of luxury taxes, and the recoveries made so far.
The teams will be formed following the end of this month, and the operation will be launched to further bolster the recoveries made so far.
