Rawalpindi: The Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department (ETNCD)’s Rawalpindi branch has sealed 62 commercial and residential buildings during its operation against property tax evaders, reported a new source.
Due taxes amounting to PKR 2,200,000 were also recovered during the crackdown launched yesterday.
The department sealed 125 tax defaulting property units in different areas of Rawalpindi earlier in the third week of December. ETNCD Rawalpindi Branch is looking to recover PKR 10 million from the owners of sealed properties, who have been warned of strict legal action if they fail to pay the due taxes at the earliest.
