Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority’s drive against non-confirming use of property is seeing resistance from guesthouses operating in residential buildings, states a news report.
According to details, CDA intensified its drive after Islamabad High Court gave a verdict in favour of the development authority and sealed six guesthouses in Sector F-6 on Tuesday. Reportedly, massive resistance was faced during this operation and the guesthouses’ administration also staged protests outside the office of CDA chairman.
According to a representative of a guesthouse, a case has been filed against the CDA’s drive in the Supreme Court, which will be heard on October 19, 2016. He requested the director of the Building Control Section to stop the operation, says the news source.
