Lahore: During a drive against encroachment in the city, several structures around Data Darbar were demolished, reported a news source. Several illegally constructed shops and structures around the shrine were razed to ground.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Lahore Assistant Commissioner Safdar Virk while Data Ganj Bakhsh town municipal officer also accompanied him. Virk stated that grand operation against encroachments in the city will continue.
Lahore Deputy Commissioner Capt. (R) Anwar-ul-Haq appreciated Virk’s role in successfully carrying out the operation. Haq also ordered all assistant commissioners to carry out operations against encroachers in their respective areas.
