Islamabad: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has issued directives to initiate a comprehensive operation against illegal land occupation and encroachments on Capital Development Authority (CDA) properties, including Margalla National Park, according to news published on November 6.

The PM gave these instructions during a meeting held in Islamabad on Monday, where various topics were discussed, including administrative matters, law and order, and anti-narcotics measures in the federal capital. To address the growing traffic congestion in Islamabad, PM Kakar recommended immediate action to resolve parking and traffic issues caused by car showrooms scattered throughout the city.
The meeting highlighted that 160 additional buses are expected to augment Islamabad’s public transport system, further enhancing the city’s transportation network. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for a centralized digital system for vehicle registration in Islamabad and other cities across the country.

Additionally, he urged adherence to international climate change standards when issuing fitness certificates for older vehicles, emphasizing transparency and efficiency in the issuance of driving licenses nationwide.
