Lahore: Operations launched against encroachers in the city will continue as per the orders of Lahore Deputy Commissioner Saleh Saeed, a news source reported. Saeed affirmed that the drive will continue to deal with encroachment activities without any discrimination, while he spoke to a delegation of traders from Shah Alam Market.
He also instructed Protocol Assistant Commissioner Asim Saleem to identify officers engaged in facilitating construction of illegal commercial plaza. Saeed also said that a formal letter will be written to launch an inquiry against these officers.
Saeed also paid a surprised visit to Shahdara Chowk to inspect activities carried out against encroachments. The DC was briefed on matters regarding parking and traffic control. To further inspect details on government land being encroached at Shahdara Chowk, Saeed called the concerned patwari to his office.
After visiting Shahdara Chowk, the DC inspected the matters regarding encroachment activities in Ravi Zone. Soon after his visit, the district administration removed all temporary encroachments in the zone.
