Peshawar: In its recent operation against encroachers, the Peshawar District Administration razed many illegal stalls in various areas of the city, reported a news source. Launched on the instructions of Town-1 Nazim Zahid Nadeem, the operation will ease issues such as traffic congestions.

The staff engaged for this operation used machinery to remove encroachments along footpaths in Ramdas, Namak Mandi, Dabgari, Kisa Khawani and Circular Road area. The team also confiscated several items and products belonging to encroachers. The numbers of incidents reported for encroaching roads and footpaths have lately increased as Eid-ul-Fitr draws closer.

To ensure that the encroachers don’t crawl back after the operation ends, Nazim Nadeem warned shopkeepers of facing serious action on re-encroaching the public space and causing inconvenience to the public. He also announced that the operation will continue without any discrimination.
