Karachi: The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is holding an open hearing today (April 17) on competition issues in the real estate sector of Lahore and Karachi, according to a news report. The purpose is to provide an opportunity to the stakeholders to voice their concerns on relevant issues.
The Lahore open hearing is being held in PC Hotel Lahore today, while the Karachi hearing will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, 19th April 2018, at Avari Hotel. The Islamabad hearing was held on April 12.
The CCP has received complaints about housing schemes that utilise questionable marketing tactics. Such tactics include false claims about facilities, hidden development charges, providing misleading facts about location and false claims of approvals from authorities.
