Lahore: The Punjab government is working on a one-window operation to facilitate investors, according to Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal.
He spoke about the initiative during his meeting with Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht. The two also discussed reforms pertaining to industrialisation and information technology.

CEO Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, Chairman Punjab Industrial State & Management Company, and DG Punjab Information Technology Board were all present.
Iqbal said that 26 provincial and 19 federal departments have collaborated on the project. He added that the government will make Punjab the hub of social, economic, and trade activities in the country.

The minister said that the officials concerned have been tasked to formulate investor-friendly policies. He added that the government has also approached representatives of investment companies with regard to policy-making decisions. These recommendations will be forwarded to a sub-committee. An action plan will be devised in light of the committee’s proposals.
