Lahore: The authorities have decided to form a one-window cell at the office of Metropolitan Corporation and zonal offices to curb unlawful construction around the city – a news source reported.
According to details, all building plans will be digitized and made available online. The Commissioner Asif Bilal Lodhi has approved the formation of the one-window cell.

Under the new arrangement, the zonal officer will be required to approve the plans for a 5-marla building within five days. In case of residential and industrial property between 10 marla and 2 kanals, as well as commercial property between 10 marla and 1 kanal, a limit of 10 days has been applied for approval of plans.
In case of residential and commercial property between 1 kanal and 6 kanal, the building plan will be approved by Metropolitan Corporation Lahore’s Chief Officer within 15 days.

In case of residential or industrial properties larger than 6 kanals, the building plan will have to be approved by a high-level design committee. All the approved and rejected layout plans will be made available online.
