Lahore: Two more train sets comprising 10 bogies have reached Lahore for the Orange Line Metro Train Project (OLMTP), a news source quoted Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister and Chairman Steering Committee Khawaja Ahmed Hassan. He also told the media that two more train sets are on their way to Lahore from China via ship. The consignment will reach here by mid-December.
In addition to those already enroute to Lahore, four more train sets have been completed and transported to the Shanghai Port, from where they will soon be dispatched for Pakistan. 27 train sets are being imported from China for the OLMTP.
Talking about the status of development work on the project, Hasaan said the project’s infrastructure is 77.2% complete, while the technical and mechanical work for the project is 29% complete. He also said that horticultural work on the project will start soon on the project, for which PKR 550 million will be spent.
