Lahore: The Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board has approved PKR 2 billion for the acquisition of an additional 100 kanals of land for all packages of the Orange Line Metro Train Project (OLMTP), according to a news source. The funds, PC-1 for which was sent earlier, were approved in a meeting presided over by P&D Chairman Jahanzaib Khan.
Out of the planned 100 kanals of land, 2.8 kanals will be purchased in Achant Nagar, 15 kanals between Samanabad and Chowk Yateem Khana, 15 kanals on Raiwind Road, 7 kanals to give access to the owners of agricultural land that lies along Package III, 13 kanals on Multan Road to construct a subway station, and 47 kanals to set up a pond to collect rainwater.
