Lahore: The Orange Line Metro Train Project (OLMTP) has seen 75.3% of its civil work completed now, a news source quoted Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister and Chairman of the Steering Committee for Lahore Orange Line Metro Train (LOMT) project Khawaja Ahmad Hassan. Hassan was chairing the weekly progress meeting.
According him, the progress on package I from Dera Gujjaran on GT Road to Chauburji is 86.7% complete, while that on package II from Chauburji to Ali Town is complete by 56.3%. The development work on the depot near Dera Gujjaran is over 80% complete, and that on Stabling Yard has been completed by 77.3%, added Hassan.
He also directed the civil and E&M contractors to increase the labour force to complete the project by the deadline.
Meanwhile, the meeting was also informed that the 23-train set for the project will reach Lahore by the end of this year, while coaches for all 27 trains would be made available by March 2018.
