Following up on the summons, the Punjab Transport Secretary appeared before the court and informed its three-judge bench – headed by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed – that the work on the project was progressing as per its directives.
During the proceedings, the court expressed its concerns regarding the project’s rising costs due to the delays seen in its development.
The OLMT initiative was originally slated for completion by the end of 2018.
