Karak: An oil and gas processing and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) recovery plant was inaugurated in Karak by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi on Thursday, according to a news report. This plant had been completed at a cost of PKR 20 billion and is expected to bring benefits to KPK’s economy.
The PM addressed the gathering and stated that the OGDCL would receive an annual income of PKR 60 billion from this project, and 400 tons of LPG would be processed daily at this facility. He further announced gas supply to the population living within a five-kilometre radius of gas fields and legalisation of gas connections in areas where pilferage was high. He also stated that Karak would be linked to CPEC via Shakardara and that Banda Daud Shah Road and Tall Road would be handed over to the National Highway Authority for timely completion.
