The chamber, which represents 200 top foreign investors in Pakistan from 35 countries, also expressed concerns that regulatory challenges could debilitate Pakistan’s attractiveness as a destination for foreign direct investment (FDI).
OICCI President Haroon Rashid, while elaborating on the main features of the OICCI 2019 Annual Economic Contribution Survey, revealed that OICCI members contributed more than PKR 1.2 trillion, or PKR 5 billion each working day, to the tax revenue of Pakistan. This totals to nearly 1/3rd of Pakistan’s total revenue collection.
