Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Thursday invited liquefied natural gas (LNG) consultant firms to submit expression of interest (EOI) for pre-qualification, according to an advertisement in a major publication.

The pre-qualification of these firms will be conducted as per the LNG policy and rules’ requirements. The authority has invited reputable consultant firms with 10+ years of experience in the LNG field involving designing, construction, supervision, inspection or operation of LNG facilities and terminals.
The interested firms shall have to provide information proving that they are qualified to perform services expected of them. The firms can also formulate joint ventures to increase their chances of qualification.

Moreover, OGRA has stated that these EOIs are for shortlisting only. Interested firms may obtain further information regarding evaluation criteria and terms of reference form OGRA and Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA)’s the official website. The authority further stated that it could accept or reject any offers as per the Public Procurement Rules, 2004.
Furthermore, the EOIs are to be delivered to the office address of Executive Director LNG in Islamabad until August 31 and will be opened on the same date.
