The discovery was made after drilling at Togh Bala 01 well in block number 3371-10 in Kohat. Reportedly, the OGDCL is the primary operator of the exploratory block due to its 50% share in the project, and it is working in collaboration with Mari Petroleum (33.33% share) and Saif Energy Limited (16.7% share).
The well was spudded-in two months ago in June, and then drilled to 2,172 meters in Lockhart Formation. Afterwards, open hole testing was conducted which revealed a gas flow rate of 9.000 million cubic feet per day (MMcfd) and a condensate flow rate of 125 barrels per day, with a wellhead flowing pressure (WHFP) of 1690 Psi at 32/64” choke size.
