Hyderabad: Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has decided to shut down offices of 29 housing schemes that have been selling plots and running media campaigns without any NOCs, a news source reported. SBCA has sent a letter to the Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to shut down such offices between January 2 and January 15 in 2019.
The Deputy Director of SBCA Hyderabad has requested in the letter that police force should be provided to shut down illegal housing societies in the Qasimabad and Hyderabad region.
Previously, the demolition squad of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) took action against commercial buildings in Karachi, on Khalid Bin Waleed Road, and other areas to seal and demolished a number of shops, restaurants, and showrooms. The operation was conducted on the instructions of SBCA Director General Iftikhar Ali Qaimkhani and on the orders of Supreme Court-mandated Water Commission.
