As per sources, Balloki, Nishat Chunian, Nishat Power, and Kohinoor Electric plants had tripped due to the dense fog situation in Lahore and its surrounding areas. Khan praised NTDC staff for resolving on-ground issues in extreme weather conditions. He was told that because of the prevailing weather conditions, power generation had been reduced – and temporary load management of 3,011 MW was being undertaken by several distribution companies. This reliance would be reduced in-line with the ongoing improvements in power generation.
