Lahore: National Tourism Coordination Board (NTCB) Chairman Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari on Wednesday performed the groundbreaking of a 5-star hotel in Chitral, a news source reported. According to the details revealed, the facility is designed to provide quality dining and accommodation services.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Mr. Bukhari stated that the hotel was being established in collaboration with the private sector, and that the government was making efforts to encourage the private sector to invest in the country’s tourism industry.
The 80-bed hotel is expected to have two restaurants and a 500-person capacity hall. It is being constructed by overseas Pakistani businessman Anwar Aman, who has announced that he will be investing PKR 5 billion in the country’s tourism sector.

During his address, the NTCB Chairman also thanked the overseas Pakistanis for their contribution to the tourism sector of Pakistan. He added that the government was making a concerted effort to promote the country as a ‘customised brand’ across the globe.
