Okara: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Saturday inaugurated the balloting process for the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) Renala Khurd project situated on Shergarh Road, according to news sources.
Minister for Housing Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Minister for Information Syed Sumsam Ali Shah Bukhari, Secretary Housing Naseem Sadiq, along with the commissioner and deputy commissioner of Sahiwal Division, were all present at the occasion.

Sarwar said that the provision of low-cost houses for the masses was a vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan which was now being turned into reality by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar and Housing Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed.

Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) Director General Liaquat Chatta said that land for the NPHP development had been identified in 29 districts of the province; adding that the price for one-bedroom house unit price had been set at PKR 1.6 million. He announced that the balloting process for 1,988 applicants (including 14 reserved under the quota for the differently-abled individuals) had been completed.
