Lahore: The authorities concerned have prepared standard operating procedures (SOPs) with regard to the first phase of Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP).
The Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) has approved these SOPs. They will be implemented in NPHP’s Lodhran, Chishtian and Renala Khurd projects venues.

Moreover, a directorate will be established in the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority. This body will act as a watchdog to prevent NPHP allottees from renting out their houses.
It should be noted that NPHP allottees will be determined through a balloting process. The provincial housing authority has also banned the sale and purchase of NPHP houses for the first five years.

The Punjab Government plans to construct 6,000 houses under phase I of the NPHP project. These residential units will be built in Lodhran, Chishtian and Renala Khurd.
The provincial government has set the price of a 3-marla house between PKR 1.6 million and PKR 1.75 million. Similarly, a 5-marla house will cost between PKR 2.1 million and PKR 2.3 million.
