Quaidabad: The sixth ballot for the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) was conducted on Wednesday (November 27) — with 790 authority letters being distributed as a result, a news source reported. As per the publication, the ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Provincial Minister for Housing Mehmood-ur-Rasheed.

It was the minister who conducted the balloting and distributed the authority letters to the selected candidates. Speaking on the occasion, he vowed that the government was committed to fulfilling all of its promises. He added that the housing scheme would not just be a bare-bone colony; instead, he promised that it would contain all the modern facilities that are expected from other developments of its kind.

In addition, Minister Rasheed stated that the government would meet its target of 5 million homes as well, ad revealed that 2.3 million of these homes were going to be constructed in Punjab.
