Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has sought report on land identified in 36 districts for the construction of 2.5 million affordable homes under Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP), reported a news source. A report in this regard has been prepared by the respective deputy commissioners of these districts.

According to the details shared by the news source, 200,000 kanals of land feasible for the project has already been identified in these districts. The report will be shared with the Buzdar, who will also be presiding a meeting soon to discuss the matters regarding development so far carried out for construction of affordable homes in the province.

The meeting will also discuss the options to use the identified land for the project. According to source from Punjab Housing Department, the land linked with trunk sewers and electricity supply lines will be finalised for the project.
