Lahore: The previously issued application forms for Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) have been cancelled, reported a news source. Pakistan Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) has issued free forms for affordable houses in Chishtian, Renala Khurd, and Lodhran.
Affordable houses in Renala Khurd, Lodhran, and Chishtian will be constructed under the first phase of NPHP. Their acquisition forms can be attained from all branches of the Bank of Punjab. Please note that the agency has issued different forms; with each corresponding to a specific district. This has been done to ascertain the total number of applications received. PHATA will also accept photocopies of these forms.
As communicated by the agency, the forms will include details on the estimated price of each unit, along with its tentative payment plan. The expenses mentioned do not include utility charges for the provision of Sui gas.
The affordable housing project, in the above-mentioned districts, also features a quota reserved for government employees, members of the armed forces, and disabled citizens.
The forms need to be submitted with an affidavit guaranteeing that the applicant doesn’t own a house. Furthermore, the applicants have to submit a refundable amount worth PKR 250 as processing fee.
Along with this, they are required to submit PKR 10,000 as token money. The token money will be refunded to the unsuccessful candidates within 15 days of announcement of ballot results.
Successful applicants, thereafter, will need to submit PKR 20,000 as down payment within 20 days of the announcement.
