Lahore: Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) project PC-1 is in its final stages of completion, a news source quoted Punjab Housing Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed. Rasheed shared this information while chairing the 48th session of Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA).
The meeting was also attended by PHATA Director General Ziauddin Satti and Secretary Housing Hassan Iqbal. Senior officials from Board of Revenue, Finance Department and PHATA were also present. During the session, important decisions were taken regarding the price of NPHP forms and the project’s marketing strategy.
The members agreed to set the price of the NPHP application form at PKR 250. They also approved scrutiny of the forms by respective district housing committees. Additionally, the meeting discussed the expansion of PHATA, both in role and scope, for the benefit of NPHP.
For project marketing, ads will be aired and published via local news and print media stations. Sharing further details on the plan, Rasheed said that the allotment of affordable houses will be carried out through balloting.
