Lahore: The online registration deadline for the second phase of the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) will expire today (October 15), a news source reported. As per officials, more than 1.2 million people have already registered themselves for the federal government’s flagship affordable housing project.
This registration phase allows any Pakistani NIC/NICOP holder to register at the government’s e-sahulat centres (by paying PKR 250 as processing fees) or through online registration methods. The applicants have the option to apply online (using NADRA’s website), or through the authority’s e-sahulat centres.
The registration process had been launched as a part of the second phase announced by the Prime Minister Imran Khan in July this year. The purpose of the registration process was to gauge the demand for affordable houses in the country.
According to details shared by NADRA earlier this month, the authority had received most applications from Islamabad (248,424) – with the second and third highest number of submissions received from Faisalabad (106,371) and Lahore (101,483).
