Lahore: The Punjab Task Force has selected three sites in Lahore for constructing low-cost houses under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) project – a news source reported.
A meeting to this effect took place between Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mehmood-ur-Rasheed and Task Force Chairman Yaqoob Izhar on Tuesday.

The minister was briefed on the sites selected for developing the NPHP project in the city. The officials concerned previously identified four location: Barki Road, Maraka (Multan Road), Ashiana Housing Scheme (Defence Road), and LDA City.
Out of these four proposed sites, the Task Force has selected Barki Road, Multan Road, and Defence Road.

In response, Rasheed directed to initiate contact with the departments concerned for acquiring land in these areas. He said that applications for the project will be invited in March.
Moreover, the minister called for developing the PC-II and lay-out plan for the project on an immediate basis.
