Lahore: Land for setting up Naya Housing Pakistan Programme (NPHP) in Lahore has been identified, a new source quoted Punjab Minister for Housing, Mian Mehmood-ur Rashaeed. The layout plan for the project is to be completed within two months, which will make way for the formal inauguration of the project in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Faisalabad in March.

Before sharing this information with the media, Rasheed chaired a Housing Department meeting to take important decisions regarding project launches planned under NPHP in several cities of Punjab. In the meeting, details were finalized regarding the construction of affordable houses, planned site offices for each project, and the contractors to be engaged. The meeting members also formalized details on the estimated cost of each affordable unit, its size, and the application forms issuance process.

Rasheed revealed to the media that a formal advertisement campaign for inviting applications for NPHP projects in Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi will begin next week. Information on land finalized for setting up affordable homes in Lahore hasn’t yet been shared.
