Rawalpindi: Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed on Thursday (March 11) distributed allotment letters among the successful applicants of low-cost housing project launched under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) initiative in Hazro, Attock, according to a news source.
The successful applicants were determined via a computerised ballot. The ballot and the ceremony to handover allocation letters was organised by the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA), whereas the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) provided technical expertise for the ballot.

The ballot was conducted to determine successful applicants for 400 residential plots measuring 3 marlas and 189 residential plots measuring 5 marlas. As per the information shared by the provincial minister, the successful applicants were offered these plots at a per marla rate of PKR 114,000 on a payment plan spanning two years.
PHATA had received a total of 459 applications for 3-marla plots and 950 applications for the units measuring 5 marlas.
