In order to ensure the cost effectiveness of hybrid NPHP homes, the government is looking to either lower the import duties on hybrid construction technology, or entirely revoke the taxes on their import.
It is expected that the government will begin installing hybrid houses under the third phase of the NPHP. The Punjab administration is planning on building 3-Marla houses under this scheme, and they will be built without using conventional construction materials such as cement, gravel, bricks and rebar.
