Sources have revealed that the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF), which works under the Federal Ministry of Housing & Construction, will initiate the development of the high-rise projects in the cities mentioned.
In Lahore, the government will launch two of these projects: one in the Katcha area comprising 500 housing units; the other in Manga Utara consisting of 2,700 units of the same.
In Karachi, the government plans to construct a 4,000-housing-unit-strong development at Jam Chakro (near Surjani Town, and spread over an area of 184 kanals) under a joint venture arrangement. For this construction, the authorities concerned have cleared the land for the FGEHF to commence with its operations.
