Islamabad: The experts believe that for constructing 5 million affordable housing units under Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP), construction of several-storey high apartment buildings will be more feasible, reported a news source. The experts expressed their views during a dialogue held at Muslim Youth University earlier this week.
For the construction of high-rise apartment buildings, conducting a thorough geographical survey is also vital. Expressing his point, economic expert Ali Kamal said that people need to adjust their lifestyle accordingly to live in apartment buildings. He also highlighted that the documentation process to determine who deserves to benefit from the project is yet to be carried out.
Addressing the concerns of some members of the dialogue, Tahir Hijazi, another economic expert, said that Naya Pakistan Housing Project will not threaten the survival of private housing schemes.
