Karachi: Karachi Press Club (KPC) Secretary Arman Sabir, along with other governing body members, have requested Sindh Governor Imran Ismail to include KPC members in the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP), a news source reported.

The request came when Ismail visited the KPC to inaugurate a free medical camp for the member journalists. The governor assured that he would take up the matter with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to provide this facility to the KPC members. He added that he would bring good news pertaining to this matter soon.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Ismail said that he wanted to make KPC the best club in the city – ensuring that the journalists here had all the facilities.

KPC President Imtiaz Khan Faran also requested the governor to help resolve the issue of land allotment to journalists in Hawksbay. In response, the governor stated that he would ensure that the matter came into the notice of Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah and the department concerned.
