Faisalabad: The Deputy Commissioner Officer has so far received 28,000 application forms for affordable housing units that are to be constructed under the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) initiative, reported a news source. The revenue collected from these forms in the form of application fee (PKR 250 per form) stands at PKR 7 million.
The location for setting up a society under NPHP hasn’t so far been finalised in Faisalabad. The government had previously announced to use the land reserved for a treatment plant by Water and Sanitation Authority in Makuana, but the location later turned out to be unfeasible for the project.
Currently, the authorities concerned are busy finding the appropriate place for setting up Naya Pakistan Housing Project in Faisalabad.
