Nowshera: The city’s master plan, designed to beautify and make it a model city, has been drafted, a news source quoted Nowshera Cantonment Station Commander Brigadier Nazir Hussain Khan as saying. The station commander shared this information while addressing a recent reception held for the members of the Nowshera Press Club (NPC).
Nowshera Cantt Executive Officer Irfan Ahmed, NPC Head Mushtaq Ahmed Paracha, NPC President Jahanzeb Khattak, and other notable members of the club, attended the event.

Addressing the audience, Brigadier Khan informed that several mega projects were currently being developed in the city’s Jinnah Park location to offer recreational facilities to the people of Nowshera and those hailing from the larger KP province. These include the construction of a main community hall and dedicated rooms for various indoor games – including badminton, squash and carrom board.

The station commander further said that the city’s Farooq Stadium compound was being prepared to host cricket, hockey and football matches; while remarking that authorities concerned needed to shift their focus towards beautifying the roads which connected Khairabad with Taru Jabba.
Brigadier Khan also appreciated the efforts of Minister of Defence Pervez Khattak and provincial minister Mian Jamshaid-ud-Din Kakakhel for providing civic facilities to the residents of Nowshera Cantt.
