Karachi: Karachi Development Authority (KDA) staff has been directed to cancel plots for which dues haven’t been cleared, reported a news source. The orders have been issued by KDA Director General Samiuddin Siddiqi.
The prime reason behind this decision is to speed up the process for recovery of dues pending on industrial and commercial plots. In this regard, a meeting was held among the senior officials of KDA and the heads of its various wings. Heading the meeting, Siddiqi directed the staff concerned to serve notices via courier to the owners for the recovery of pending dues. This is expected to speed up the recovery process.
In the case of owners not complying with the notices, KDA will be launching legal operations against them.
