Lahore: Punjab Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Mian Mahmodur Rasheed on Sunday revealed that the process of providing NOC has been simplified to facilitate builders, developers, and the housing sector, according to media reports.

The Housing Department has announced departmental housing reforms based on e-governance that will benefit businesses in the province by centralising the completion of construction certificates, permits for private housing schemes, NOC process simplified for land change, approval of maps for commercial and residential projects, and other services.
Following the success of the one-window system to get NOC, an online platform is developed while the one-window system is digitised. Permits will be valid for a set length of time under the reform. The following are the specifics:

- 30 days for approval and completion of the construction certificate
- 45 days for NOC or change of land use
- 60 to 75 days for permit of residential projects
