Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) on Monday (October 4) ordered the relevant authorities to issue no-objection certificates (NOCs) to the private sector within given timelines for construction to high-rise buildings in Peshawar, according to media reports.

During a meeting of the Local Government and Rural Development Department, the chief minister stated that the promotion of ease-of-doing-business and providing maximum facilities for the investors was an integral part of the incumbent government’s vision.
Moreover, the chief minister directed the officials concerned to adhere to the by-laws and rules to facilitate investors of the private sector and attract investment. He went on to say that the incumbent government had formulated laws to attract private sector investment, however, hurdles were being created for investors at a lower level instead of facilitating them. Furthermore, CM Mahmood Khan mentioned that strict action will be taken against the officials who are negligent or deliberately causing hurdles for private investors.

The meeting was attended by Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) Director General Ammara Khan, Administrative Secretaries, Commissioner, Chief Secretary Kazim Niaz, and other concerned officials.
