Islamabad: In order to speed up the processes of granting approvals for planning and technical aspects, and issuing NOCs for private housing societies, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has recommended that a one-window operation pattern should be followed, reported a news source. The proposals were submitted as part of the report the agency submitted before the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The report says that due to undue delays in issuance of approvals, the real estate developers and regulators are drawn to corruption. In order to fix avoiding unnecessary delays from the regulators’ end, FIA has recommended the apex court to arrange for providing all these approvals under the same roof.
The process currently in place to seek related approvals is quite time consuming as approvals are sanctioned by various departments. This should be reviewed on a priority basis and converted into a one-window operation.
