Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has formally asked the utility service providers to not issue new connections for the projects, units and building without obtaining an NOC from the civic authority, reported a news source.
The move has been taken as a measure to curb illegal and unauthorized construction activities in the federal capital. Back in September 2017, the CDA has made it mandatory for the builders to have their building plan approved if they wish to get connections approved for utility services. This time, too, the civic authority has asked the utility service providers, including Sui Northern Gas Pipelines and Islamabad Electric Supply Company to issue connections once the CDA grants an NOC for the respective projects.
