Lahore: Punjab Minister for Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal on Wednesday informed local businessmen that no further notice would be served to the industries demanding regularisation until the city’s new master was finalised, approved and implemented, a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with office bearers of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). During the meeting, LCCI President Irfan Shaikh also raised the issue of disparity in water charges for different cities. In response, the minister issued instructions to the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) managing director to resolve the issue.

He added that growth of businesses was the top priority of the government. He also directed LCCI and WASA to collaborate on the matter and prepare proposals by August 15 in order to formulate necessary amendments.
