Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah said the computerisation of land records has now made it impossible to tamper with the documents of property rights and has significantly decreased the power yielded by patwaris.
The CM said all this at the launch of the computerised land record system in Clifton on April 12. According to him, the ceremony marked the beginning of a new era of transparency and a corruption-free environment.
The land record computerisation project was completed at a cost of PKR 4.59 billion and took 4.5 years, reported a news source.
