Hazara: The Hazara Division Police on Wednesday initiated the ‘No Mask, No Shopping & No Mask, No Petrol’ campaign — in the wake of the government-announced ease in coronavirus lockdown restrictions, a news source reported. The aim of the campaign is to encourage the public to follow the SOPs issued by the executive to ward off further COVID-19 spread.

According to the rules of the campaign, the public will not have permission to shop or refuel vehicles if not wearing masks. DIG Hazara Division Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman stated that the purpose of the ‘No Mask, No Shopping & No Mask, No Petrol’ campaign was to protect the public against the COVID-19 pandemic. He added that the drive would also spread awareness about the significance of wearing masks during the current situation.

The DIG referred to the success of a previous ‘No Helmet, No Petrol’ campaign, stating that the new drive would be as effective. He also directed all Hazara Division DPOs to ensure the implementation of the SOPs issued, and the rules of the campaign launched in their respective districts.
