Balochistan: No cases of benami properties have been found in Balochistan by the revenue officials after the Balochistan government issued directions to the effect, on the request of the federal government — a news source reported.

The deadline for finding benami properties was set for September 30 by the Balochistan government but, according to the report, the revenue officials and deputy commissioners have found no cases of benami properties in the province with just days to go to before the deadline.
Particularly in Quetta, all the influential personalities own properties in their own names. The Deputy Commissioners have to submit the report of their findings regarding the benami properties after September 30 to the Chief Secretary.

The Federal Board of Revenue and the governments have been cracking down on the benami properties recently, after the Anti-Benami Directorate General was made operational recently.
