Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has awarded the contract for the construction of the Bhara Kahu Bypass to the National Logistics Cell (NLC), according to news published on September 20.

As per the details, the authority opened financial bids for the government-owned construction companies on Monday (September 19) which included Frontier Work Organisation (FWO) and NLC. It was mentioned that the work orders will be issued in a few days to the selected state-owned construction firm.
Moreover, the CDA officials (whose names were not disclosed) mentioned that the company will mobilise its machinery soon for the inauguration of the project, which is to be conducted by Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif.

It is pertinent to note that PM Shehbaz directed the CDA to start work on the Bhara Kahu Bypass as soon as possible and to complete it within four months. According to details, the five-kilometre long road will start from Murree Road, near the Quaid-e-Azam stop and end near the Jugi bus stop opposite Punjab Cash and Carry. It was revealed that from there a one-kilometre-long flyover will be constructed which will end outside the Bhara Kahu Bazaar towards Murree.
