Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Member Engineering Syed Munawar Shah disclosed that the 7th Avenue Interchange will be completed a month before its deadline, according to media reports published on Tuesday (February 15).

As per the details, the project will be completed by September 2022, a month before its deadline (October 15, 2022) as the construction is progressing at a fast pace. The CDA has awarded the contract for the 7th Avenue project to National Logistics Cell (NLC) for early completion.
Reportedly, an interchange will be constructed at the junction of 7th Avenue Green Avenue near Aabpara, Khayaban-e-Suhrawardy, and Srinagar Highway. It will be a cloverleaf with four left and right loops along with an underpass that will both the sections of Khayaban-e-Suhrawardy.

It is pertinent to note that the interchange was planned in 2008, but no progress was made for the construction. The said project is said to ease the traffic burden that adversely affects the commuters. The people have to wait in long queues on a daily basis, especially during school and office hours.
