Islamabad: The National Information Technology Board (NITB) has shared the statistics on revenue generated by the City Islamabad App, a news source reported on August 26. According to the details revealed, the application generated PKR 50 million in the six months since its launch.

NITB explained that the City Islamabad App generated revenue via various applicants, who opted to access the services provided in just one click. In a press release, the board highlighted that the application performed significantly both in terms of input and revenue generation.
NITB had launched the application on March 28. It is available for download on both android and Apple iOS devices. Sources revealed that so far there have been over 73,000 downloads on android devices and more than 9,000 on iOS devices.

According to the board, the departments concerned, along with the software developers, followed strict guidelines and other protocols to prevent any exposure of sensitive data of the users.
